I thought it'd be fun to tell the story of the bead necklaces and wire wrapped necklaces I make.
If you have stumbled upon this site and would like to purchase any of these designs, click on the paypal buttons or contact me at

All prices are negotiable.
PS - Sorry about the image quality - sometimes its pretty decent for an amateur, sometimes it's obviously done by an amateur. If I ever move to sell these things, I'll either hire someone or make sure I do a better job.
What Is Costume Jewelry?
Costume jewelry is the classification term used in the jewelry realm for the type jewelry on this site. Costume jewelry pieces are made with various beads made from different types of materials: glass, wood beads, plastic and metal.
Because these necklaces aren't made with the traditional materials - like gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, precious stones, or pearls - they fall into the category of costume jewelry.
So, you don't wear these aren't part of a costume, obviously, but that's what they're classified as.
The Designs
All of the necklaces from the Dreaming Bridge Designs are one-of-a-kind and handmade jewelry pieces by me, Bridget Madden.
The entire collection of necklaces are beaded costume necklaces, unless otherwise noted. I have not ventured far beyond costume jewelry beads (but some day I might get into metal jewelry).
In addition to bead necklaces, I am an amateur wire wrap jewelry maker (see blog post).
Inspiration comes from all over the place, which is why I write the blogs!
Thanks for visiting and come back soon.
Materials used
Beads- Beads have been collected from various places - craft stores, bead stores, old necklaces that broke, antique necklaces beyond repair, necklaces purchased from thrift stores then dissemble to be reincarnated as a new design with different beads.
String- Stringing used is steel with nylon coating unless otherwise specified.
Wire Wrapping Jewelry, the Stone Pendants- The wire wrapped stones were purchased at a cave in Bermuda. For real. I bought them at the gift store when I visited to these caves that were thousands of years old.
Wire Wrapping Jewelry, the Wire Wrap- The wire I used is also steel.
Wire Wrapped Jewelry, the Chains- The chains are made of hemp for the wire wrapped stone necklaces.
Hello dear visitor. Welcome to Dreaming Bridge Designs, a fun place to shop costume jewelry. This is the homepage for all of the designs in the "Dreaming Bridge Designs" collection of the best costume jewelry. (Well, at least in my not-so-humble opinion!)
I thought it would be nice to create a webpage for each handmade costume jewelry piece that I create. The range of materials and intricacies of designs vary. Some of the designs are simple, some would be considered high end costume jewelry. If you have any questions or comments, you can email:
bridge@dreamingbridge.com
Please contact me if you are interested in one of these jewelry fashions or in having custom costume jewelry designed especially for made for you. I'd be happy to oblige.
Each handcrafted costume jewelry piece in the Dreaming Bridge Designs collection is one-of-a-kind by me, Bridget Madden. While I work in a completely different field and have other creative outlets, I have been making quality costume jewelry for ten years now. I'm not one of the major fashion jewelry designers by any means, but I love creating these pieces and following the fashion jewelry trends.
